Best Boots ever
I have really flat feet…which means that some of the newer boots on the market don’t work at all for me. I have ordered and tried on the new Patagonia boots and the new Skwala boots with high hopes…only to have them dashed as my forefoot is too wide.
Enter Simms. Their new Access Wading Boot is, simply, the best wading boot I have yet to wear. I have had three sessions with them and am confident that my diagnosis is correct. In effect, I have stopped reaching for and using all my other boots (Orvis, Korkers and Simms). Here is the link: https://www.simmsfishing.com/products/mens-access-wading-boot
I wore them without studs and was impressed by the grip, but ended up studding mine to provide even more help to this old wading angler with vertigo and they are awesome. I have used them on some of the slipperiest, nastiest rock that the freestone and tailwater rivers in SWVA have and they are the grippiest boots, by a significant margin to include felt, that I have ever owned.
Add to this that they are also the comfiest boots I have yet to use.
You owe it to yourself to look into a pair for your wading excursions.
Mike
